Look like a fish, get treated like a fish.

There are some aquariums that offer “mermaid experiences,” where a performer dresses as a mermaid and swims with the fish. Fun, right?

Well, it can be — until one of the fish decides to treat the performer as one of their own.

This was the case in a recent video out of China. A performer allegedly named Masha was doing her routine when a fish came by and tried to eat her head. According to the New York Post, the fish ripped off her goggles and caused head, neck and eye injuries. But don’t worry — she was apparently compensated $100 as an apology.

I guess that makes it all worth it!
